Overview
Bayyinah is a RAG-based legal guidance system that simplifies Egyptian law across multiple sections — civil, criminal, family, labor, commercial, constitutional, procedural, and administrative. It helps civilians understand their rights while intentionally refusing questions outside its legal scope.

The challenge
Ordinary people rarely know their rights until they need them, and legal texts are written for lawyers, not citizens. Generic chatbots either hallucinate legal advice or answer questions they should never touch.
What we built
A retrieval-augmented system anchored strictly to Egyptian legal sources, with domain-level routing, article-level citations, and hard guardrails that keep the assistant inside its legal remit.
